Peterson Giallanza, MD

Dr. Giallanza 'Dr. G' grew up outside of Buffalo NY.  He went to Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY where he majored in Biology. He did his medical training at the University of Buffalo. He completed his neurology residency at UNC, Chapel Hill. He also completed a fellowship in sleep medicine at UNC, Chapel Hill. Dr. G founded NCNS in 2010. Dr. G is board certified in both neurology and sleep medicine.

Established in 2010, North Carolina Neurology and Sleep is a comprehensive independent general neurology practice. We pride ourselves on an individual approach. We feel it important that we are able to refer our patients to the best,most cost effective places in the area. We are not obligated by any corporate entities to do so. We want our patients to feel listened to and cared for.

Therapeutic Approach: 

In 2019 NCNS began utilizing therapy dogs to help in our clinic. Pepper and Lucy have helped ease the transition for a number of neurologically disabled patients from Alzheimer's to Autism. We have seen a tremendous response to these wonderful dogs and now patients ask for them by name! 

NFL BAP and MAF Certifications

Dr. Giallanza is an approved Qualified MAF Physician in the NFL Concussion Settlement Program selected to examine Retired NFL Football Players for potential Qualifying Diagnoses.
